Junior Crew

Blacksburg Rescue has a long history of preparing high school students for the future. Our Jr. Crew is a wonderful opportunity for high school students aged 16-18. These students assist in the daily operations of the Sr. Crew. They are allowed to participate in every aspect of BVRS. While Jr. members are expected to become state certified EMT-Basics, they are not allowed to be in charge of a 911 call until they turn 18. Therefore they always have adult supervision when they are in the station. Many of our former Jr. Crew members have gone on to successful careers within the medical field.
